It's once again time to prepare for Colorado's oldest, consecutively running, open golf tournament . . . the 73rd Rocky Mountain Open®, presented by Enstrom Candies.
- Each year 200 Professionals and Amateurs come to Grand Junction for this annual event.
- 2010 Professional Purse was over $40,000!
- 2010 ERMO Champion Ben Portie took home $8,500 1st Place Prize with a 54 hole score of 197/16 under par.
- 2010 Sr. Professional Champion Gregg Jones, PGA took home $1,000 1st Place Prize with a 54 hole score of 208/5 under par.
- 2010 Amateur Champion Keith Hummerickhouse shot a 54 hole score of 204/9 under par.
- 2010 Sr. Amateur Champion Dennis Lucero shot a 36 hole score of 146/4 over par

- Professional Open Division – 54 Hole Stroke Play (36 Hole Cut. Top 1/3 of the field & ties)
- Senior Professional Division – 54 Hole Stroke Play (No 36 Hole Cut)
- Flighted Amateur Divisions – 54 Hole Stroke Play (See Notes Below)
- Senior Amateur Division - 36 Hole Stroke Play (See Notes Below)
- Four-Ball – 36 Hole Better Ball (See Notes Below)
Event Notes:
- Professionals, Senior Professionals & Championship Flight Amateurs - Will play their final, Sunday, round at Bookclilff Country Club.
- 1st Flight Amateurs will play their final, Sunday, round at Tiara Rado GC.
- Four-Ball Competition – Advice will be allowed between Four-Ball partners. Professionals, Sr Professionals, Amateurs & Sr Amateurs will be competing in separate, individual contests - therefore, partners will be able to give each other advice. (Amateurs will not be eligible to "cross over" and compete for one of the Professional Division Championships)
- Amateur Flights – In an effort to make the Amateur portion of the tournament more enjoyable and competitive, there will be three flights.
- The Championship Flight will include players with handicap indexes of 3.0 or less. (Requests to “play-up” will be addressed by the Committee and handled on a “first come” and “space available” basis)
- The First Flight will include players with handicap indexes of 3.1 and higher. First Flight Amateurs with HDCP Indexes of 10 or higher will play a slightly shorter course and will have their Course Handicaps adjusted accordingly for Net Scoring.
- Senior Amateur Filight – Senior Amateurs will be able to enter the Senior Amateur flight, without also entering the Regular Amateur Flight, if they choose
- The Championship Flight will be gross only – the First and Senior Flights will include gross and net prizes.
